PM returns to Dhaka after ziarat at two shrines in Sylhet
PBC News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina performed ziarat (in Islam, ‘ziarat’ means offering prayer at a tomb of a Muslim saint) at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) while visiting the flood-affected Sylhet on Tuesday (June 21).
As the ziarat was over, a motorcade carrying the prime minister reached at MAG Osmani International Airport in Sylhet at 2.40pm. Then a helicopter, carrying the prime minister, left for Dhaka.
Earlier, PM Hasina went Sylhet early Tuesday morning to inspect the flood situation in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Netrakona and adjacent areas. Later, she exchanged opinion with the officials of the local administration and local Awami League leaders at Sylhet Circuit House.
At about 1.29pm, the Prime Minister entered the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) where she offered Zorh prayer. She then came out of the shrine at 1:50pm.
Earlier, she stayed at the shrine for some time and recited from the holy Quran, offered fateha and munajat.
Sheikh Hasina then visited the shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (RA). Staying there for some time, she recited from the holy Quran, offered fateha and munajat.
The prime minister reached at MAG Osmani International Airport in Sylhet at 2.40pm. Then a helicopter carrying her left for Dhaka.
