Ten police member sacked for failing dope test !
A number of 10 police personnel of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been sacked due to failing dope test. Meanwhile, 18 more members suspended as they found positive in recent dope tests.
DMP Deputy Commissioner for Media and Public Relation Walid Hossain on Sunday informed media about the matter. He said that 68 DMP members have failed in the test conducted recently. Of them, one is surgent, seven SIs, five ASIs, five nayeks and 50 constables.
Departmental cases have been filed against 43 the cops while process of departmental actions is under way against 25 cops. According to police sources, the police personnel have been accused of drug consuming, trading, implicating people with drugs and showing lesser amount of seized drugs in the seizure list.
