Benapole land port to remain shut for 4 days

PBC NEWS:  All kinds of trading activities of Benapole land port in Jashore district will remain closed from October 2 to 5 on the occasion of Durga Puja, one of the biggest festivals of Hindu community.

However, passengers with passports will be able to pass through the Benapole immigration check post normally.

Benapole C&F Agent Association general secretary Emdadul Haque Lota said the authorities of Indian Petropole land port informed them with a letter that all kinds of import-export activities through the land port will remain suspended due to the Durga Puja holidays. The activities will resume on October 6.

Meanwhile, loading-unloading activities, clearance and customs duties of the goods will remain normal despite the suspension of trading activities, said the port revenue officer Aksir Uddin Mollah.
